The Senior Assistant Director for Systems supervises a team of professionals to support the recruitment and retention efforts of the BU Financial Assistance undergraduate office, leads the University's federal verification and quality improvement efforts, and programs and manages the automated packaging system. The responsibilities include operational support, systems testing, training staff, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with federal regulations and university policies. This position performs data analysis, assists with problem resolution, and manages projects and provides input related to system changes and operational initiatives for the department.
Bachelor's degree, a minimum of two to five years of experience in a detail-oriented profession, strong analytical and organizational skills, effective problem solving skills, strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, ability to motivate and supervise direct reports. Preferences: prior knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies and procedures, including familiarity with federal verification requirements; Microsoft Excel proficiency; prior supervisory experience; project management and business process improvement experience.
