ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: AVP of Enrollment and Student Financial Services Supervises: Student Financial Services SIS Applications Administrator
Summary of Position: Reporting to the AVP of Enrollment and Student Financial Services, the Assistant/Associate Director of MCenter Operations is responsible for oversight of business processes executed by departments within the MCenter - Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Registrar. This position will focus on the goal of creating and maintaining the business practices of an integrated technical system for Student Financial Services (MCenter). The position assumes the lead on projects to improve and maintain business practices, both technical and non-technical.
Additionally, this position supports the MCenter in their goal of providing efficient, effective, and excellent customer service to students and other constituents. This position supervises one professional staff direct report.
Essential Job Functions:
Working closely with division leadership, conducts business process analysis and identifies objectives and requirements. Develop manuals, process maps, and other documentation to create and maintain business standards.
Envisions, researches, designs, develops, tests, and implements new business practices, both technical and non-technical, to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service to both students and constituents. Leverages existing technologies and recommends the acquisition and implementation of new technologies as necessary, to support division goals.
Lead role in project management for implementation of both new and existing technologies. Working with both functional and technical teams to ensure optimum choices are made with regard to a projects technical direction and implementation.
Responsible for evaluating, monitoring, testing, and maintaining all systems-based tools.
Acts as liaison with campus-wide technical staff as well as technical contractors and vendors to ensure that processes are successfully planned, implemented and evaluated.
Responsible for the integrity of data imported and exported to and from the campus SIS and third-party systems utilized by the MCenter.
Working closely with SIS Applications Administrator and campus IT staff, monitor and test upgrades to Banner Student and Banner Financial Aid modules.
Assist with training for new and existing staff in business practices and utilization of technology.
Responsible for reporting student data.
Supports the Office of Financial Aid awarding of all federal, state, and institutional financial aid in accordance to regulations and policies.
Supports Student Accounts.
Supports the Registrars Office in implementation and support of Degree Works system, annual term roll, and other identified processes.
Lead in the annual set up and testing of Banner, as well as work in collaboration with the Director of Financial Aid on the FISAP and yearly audit.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate data and processes to other campus constituents as needed to promote collaboration across departments for Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Financial Services efforts.
Maintain safe work conditions and comply with established safety policies, practices, procedures, and requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Assist in the management of the MCenter communications plan.
Must have three to five years of experience in admissions, financial aid, or enrollment operations with proven track record of success.
Must have prior work experience with Ellucian Banner ERP or comparable SIS and prior work experience in a college setting.
SQL knowledge strongly preferred.
Demonstrates problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Project Management experience and skills
Knowledge of NACAC guidelines and FERPA policies
Experience in defining and analyzing operational challenges and develop functional solutions which include design, configuration, and testing.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning student files.

Professional written and oral communication skills and a history of providing exceptional customer service.

This is a full-time, exempt position with an FTE of 1.0. Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $73,000.00 to $78,000.00 per year, includes an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with college-matching after 6 month qualifying period, 22 days of vacation per year, 12 sick days and 10 paid holidays annually. Staff members also receive free admission to campus events, use of the pool, fitness center, and tennis courts. Tuition remission is also available after an introductory period.
