The Fine Arts Department at Pratt Institute invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant/associate professor in Interdisciplinary Practice, to commence Fall 2019. The department seeks candidates whose work engages two or more of the following: community-engaged and/or hybrid practices, installation, performance, moving image, digital media.
The successful candidate will teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels and be expected to play an active role in the life of the Institute and provide service to the Department. The successful candidate will also be expected to have leadership abilities and to work alongside colleagues in strengthening the Department.
Fine Arts undergraduate areas of emphasis are Painting, Drawing, Sculpture & Integrated Practices, Printmaking and Jewelry. In addition, Fine Arts offers a minor in Ceramics. Located 1.5 miles from the Brooklyn campus in the Pfizer Building on Flushing Avenue, the Fine Arts interdisciplinary graduate program has areas of emphasis in Painting/Drawing, Sculpture, Integrated Practices, and Printmaking. SALARY and RANK are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
