Western Sierra Medical Clinic is a nonprofit organization who offers accessible, affordable, quality health care in Northern California. We provide comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health care and continue to expand our specialty care services, from addiction management to women’s health services.
We have six health centers across three counties including Nevada, Sierra and Placer county; a region with about 150,000 residents, located 50 miles northeast of Sacramento. We are currently seeking a Full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team and help support our mission as we continue to expand and provide quality services through innovative, patient-centered care in our communities. The CFO would be based in Grass Valley and would work alongside other members of the executive management team.

The Chief Operating Officer directs, organizes, develops, supervises and evaluates all non-clinical activities of the Corporation in all of its locations. The COO oversees and directs business operations of clinic and programs as assigned, assists in business expansion and development, assists in program development, oversees management of legal issues and outside counsel, supervises Regional Managers, assists the CEO in developing and implementing corporation policies and procedures, coordinates with the Finance Department in budget management, and monitors achievement of corporation financial objectives.
Education and/or Experience:
Formal Education & Certification
Master's Degree in Business or Public Administration, or a Health Discipline with a focus on Administration. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public or Health Administration may substitute an additional two (2) year of qualifying experiences for the Master’s Degree. May be waived based on experience.
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible high level management and supervisory experience in similar organizations providing direct health services, with specific knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability in the areas of budget development and management, personnel development and management, professional staff development, organizational evaluation, grant development, communication, and leadership skills in an ambulatory medical care setting with preference given for experience in Community Health Centers.
Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Written and verbal communication skills in English commensurate with college level education.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other data privacy regulations
Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong understanding of project management principles.
Experience in running a 20+ million dollar company
