The Administrative Assistant will report to the Business Specialist and is expected to deliver work that is consistent with the mission, vision, role, and goals of Technology & Learning Spaces. The Administrative Assistant performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative and project management practices and the basic application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of unit administration; some duties include but are not limited to the following: -Provides administrative and financial support for Technology & Learning Spaces; -Is responsible for the coordination and administration of office operations, the preparation of transactions, scheduling of meetings, monitoring of reports, payroll tracking, reconciliation of discrepancies, service as a liaison with vendors and stakeholders, etc.; -Is responsible for managing various projects to ensure all deliverable are achieved timely and within the designated resources; -Creates detailed project plans and schedules, conducts research, produces reports and marketing materials, follows up with team members, etc.;
The Administrative Assistant works under direct supervision, with specific instructions on routine or semi routine work and within established work parameters for the unit. and their work is usually reviewed upon completion.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and/or report writing.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Also requires good communication skills and computer literacy.
Knowledge of Rutgers University enterprise systems; Experience in database design and maintenance; Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Prior experience in higher education administration and project management.
