This is a unique and high profile role supporting the Outsourced/Offshore Delivery Centers (ODC ) sites on behalf of the Global Workforce Strategy Group (GWSS). This position works closely with the ODC Site Manager, vendors, business units, client contacts and internal Morgan Stanley departments. The objective of the GWSS Group is to ensure that we are optimising use of all deployment options (including strategic sites). This role will be integral in moving the GWSS strategy forward and supporting the Site Manager with ODC site management and administrative duties (outlined below). The primary skill set is a good knowledge and understanding of MS backroom technology infrastructure, desktop apps/processes as well as good project management skills and ability to navigate the MS organization. Process improvement, project management, documentation and communication with the BU's are also essential. An understanding of the firm's budget and financial processes /systems is a plus.
The role is working with MD/ED level personnel in the BU dealing with transitions, escalations, procedural changes and resolution of issues. Working with the BU's and vendors in obtaining and managing documentation supporting requests for exceptions and /or deficiencies in the ODC's is also critical. Work with IAD on addressing and documenting audit items. Work with SRM and Vendor Management teams around firm as well as Service Managers to ensure the proper escalation procedures/documentation is in place. Work with BU, vendor and necessary groups in dealing with site-specific issues, requests, and projects. Take-charge attitude along with calm under pressure are essential.
- 3-7 years professional work experience as a project manager, preferably on a large technical infrastructure build out - Good technical and building infrastructure background - Strong program management, time management, conflict management, multi-tasking & analytical skills Strong facilitator with the ability to influence people - Good level of business skills and commercial awareness - Discreet and professional - Good organizational skills -Strong team player both local and remote - Pro-active self-starter with "can-do" attitude - Articulate and effective communicator - Extreme attention to detail - Remain calm under pressure - Familiar with Microsoft Office, web design, Sharepoint - Morgan Stanley knowledge - good networks across the offices would be useful - Knowledge of communication room (Datacenter) environmental infrastructure including HVAC, UPS, diesel generators, fire detection/suppression - Familiarity with building controls such as CCTV, access control, BMS - Familiarity with IT infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, PBX - Understanding of LAN and WAN connectivity including circuit installation and telco carrier relations a plus
